Petrol Stations
In the Region, as in the whole of the Czech Republic, there is a dense network of service stations which distribute in addition to petrol and diesel, fuels with a higher content of bio component (mixed diesel, biodiesel and bioethanol), liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) or compressed natural gas.
Most service stations offer apart from fuel, oils and lubricants for cars, trucks and cater for other motorists’ needs. Additionally some stations offer refreshments, daily newspaper etc. At most stations there are also accessible toilets and showers.
In the Pilsen Region there were at 31.12.2009 in operation 223 filling stations in operation; in the whole of the Czech Republic the number was 3,615.

Healthcare
Ambulance service works for severe cases of acute illness (eg, trauma), when quick treatment is necessary to prevent serious deterioration of health or life-threatening conditions. For emergency services have special free telephone line. The hotline is 112 and English and German is spoken.
Hospitals and medical facilities
The Region operates a network of outpatient and inpatient health care facilities (see map).
Pharmacies
In the Region there is available a dense network of pharmacies that are usually open from Monday to Friday, usually between 8:00 to 18:00 during the week, and 8:00 to 12:00 on Saturnday. Pharmacies in shopping centres are usually open also on Saturday afternoons and Sundays.
For the trip to the Czech Republic we recommend travel insurance.

ÚAMK assistance services provide motorists from home and abroad through so-called "yellow angels" continuous and fast professional help if they get into a situation of difficulty associated with the immobility of the vehicle due to technical failure, accidents, vandalism, attempted theft , stolen vehicles or driver's health problems. Also in situations where a driver causes himself problems by using the wrong fuel, losing, damaging the keys to the vehicle, or locking himself out. ÚAMK works 24 hours a day continuously throughout the year. In the event of a breakdown or accident, the motorist calls a phone number 1230.

ABA - Autoklub Bohema Assistance, a.s.
In the CR, the ABA has approximately 300 partners, in particular from the operation of assistance services (repairs on the road), towing service, etc. Such a distribution of partners allows it to guarantee the time of arrival for technological assistance within 45 minutes in the ČR and 90 minutes abroad. Motorists in the event of an accident or malfunction of their vehicle should contact the dispatching centre ABA in Prague, which has a telephone number 1240. Services are provided not only in within the CR, but also across Europe.

In addition to the assistance services it is possible to use the services on offer by Regional service stations and tyre services, which are available in virtually every town and often in smaller communities. These services are usually open from Monday to Friday, mostly from 9 am to 5 pm. Saturday services are opened only in the morning.

Guide services are among the standard services offered. Contacting a guide is best through information centres.
RENTAL
The Region operates a number of rental car services,also for bicycles, boats, fishing equipment and sporting goods (winter equipment). Some rentals are available only in the appropriate season.
