Mariánská Týnice - Provost´s residence
The residence of the provost of the Cistercian monastery in Plasy was built in 1699 on the site of an earlier sacral construction. Dominating the site at Mariánská Týnice is the Virgin Mary´s Annunciation cathedral, an architecturally valuable pilgrim church of a Greekcross layout. The ambitious reconstruction of the church including arcades was carried out according to J. B. Santini´s design and finalised in 1768. The provost residence now accommodates the collections and exhibits of the Museum and Gallery of Plzeň the North.
