Useful Links - and not only for Visitors to the Pilsen Region
The city of Spálené Poříčí has a lot to offer - and has been awarded the prestigious title of The Historical City of 2003 (the only one in the Pilsen region) for its care of historical monuments.
There is a large Renaissance chateau, a newly renovated warehouse Ve Dvoře (in the courtyard) with a permanent exhibition of cartoons of Jiří Winter Neprakta (the only one in the country), preserved brewery cellars, a Jewish cemetery and what was formerly a Jewish merchant's house with separate stoves for the preparation of meat and dairy dishes, a mill with a functional mill wheel, a baroque rectory and an adjacent Infocentre (folk timbered house dating from the 18th century) with preserved black kitchen, the church of St. Nicholas, the Hvížďalka trail and other tourist attractions. In 2011, our city took part in a national event - Exploring the historic cities of Bohemia, Moravia and Silesia – which attracted many visitors.
The city has also the possibility of accommodation and meals - such as hotel Ve Dvoře (in the courtyard) and the tavern Loewidt Joachim (in the above-mentioned merchant’s house).
