The Pilsen Region has issued two new publications dealing with ‘beer tourism’
Generated under the project-name The Pilsen Region in nature, traditions and gastronomy, which began in October 2011 (and which will be completed by June 2013) ‘The beer-trail’ brochure was first presented at the fair in Brno in mid-January.
The brochure is a comprehensive guide to all small and large breweries in the Region. It contains information on seven beer trails intertwined with tourist destinations and attractions in the vicinity of breweries. It also contains information on the cuisine and specialties of the Pilsen Region, illustrated by appropriate recipes and photos and is published in five languages (Czech, English, German, Russian and Dutch).
A second publication Map of breweries and tourist destinations of the Pilsen Region includes not only a map marking the sites of the breweries but on the reverse carries basic information about interesting tourist places related to beer and breweries as well as other attractions of the Pilsen region – all illustrated by means of thematic images. It appears in two languages and a total of 7 languages. (Czech, German, English, Russian, French, Italian and Dutch).
The new promotional literature will be distributed free of charge and will be available at all regional information centres. Its first publication was in the international tourism trade fair in Brno CR REGIONTOUR from 12th to 15th January 2012.
Materials were generated under the project The Pilsen Region in nature, traditions and gastronomy which is supported by the European Regional Development Fund ROP NUTS II Southwest. Gradually there will be other printed promotional materials, multimedia presentations and promotional items for three CR products in the regions: the Šumava Forest – the green roof of Europe, live folklore Chodsko, and Beer - golden treasure of the Pilsen Region.
