Horšovský Týn - castle and chateau
The original bishop´s Gothic castle from the second half of the 13th century was rebuilt at great costs into a representative Remaissance chateau in the 16th century. A Neo-Renaissance reconstruction followed at the end of the 19th century. Preserv ed from the original Gothic castle is a valuable chapel, from the Renaissance period rare frescoes in the burgrave´s palace. The visitor may choose from several different sightseeing tours of the extensive castle and chateau premises.
