Woodland Peat Bog Podkovák

The trail leads a few dozen metres along a corduroy path into the interior of the nature reserve of the same name. It was established in 1975 to protect a peat bog of the upland type with preserved natural plant and animal communities. It is an excellent example of a bog pine with characteristic peatland flora in the undergrowth.

The reserve covers an area of 5.63 hectares and is located in a flat saddle at an altitude of 705–710 metres above sea level. The easiest way to reach it is by following another circular nature trail around Lesná. The trail culminates in a covered platform overlooking several small lakes surrounded by typical vegetation. The trail is complemented by several information boards that introduce the local flora and fauna and also teach the visitor what a peat bog actually is.
