A Journey to the Bottom of the Prehistoric seas

The area he explored and made famous in the world and that now bears his name, has become a National Geological Park, the largest in the Czech Republic with an area of 4,316 square kilometres. It includes parts of the Central Bohemian Region, Pilsen Region and the Capital City of Prague.

Mysterious Hermits and a Provostry in the Brdy

Since 2016, the area of the District of Rokycany has been enlarged by several cadastral areas from the no longer existing military training area of Brdy, including the significant and somewhat mysterious remains of the Benedictine provostry with the church of St. John the Baptist near the Hořejší padrťský rybník (Upper Padrť Pond).
